Actinomycin D Powder is an interferon inducer and is used clinically as an antineoplastic agent.Dactinomycin Powder uses: It is effective against malignant staphyloma and is effective against nephroblastoma, Hodgkin's disease, testicular tumours, rhabdomyosarcoma, neuroblastoma and reticulocytic sarcoma. It is also effective in cervical, ovarian, breast and gastrointestinal cancers. Dactinomycin Raw Materials is used in combination with radiotherapy to improve the sensitivity of radiotherapy.

Pharmacological Effects of Actinomycin D / Dactinomycin Powder.

In vitro studies have shown that actinomycin D acts mainly on RNA and at high concentrations affects both RNA and DNA synthesis. The mechanism of action is that it is embedded in the DNA double strand and binds to its guanine moiety, inhibiting DNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity and interfering with the cellular transcription process, thereby inhibiting mRNA synthesis. It is a non-specific drug of the cell cycle, particularly sensitive in the G1 phase and prevents G1 phase cells from entering the S phase.

Actinomycin D is a peptide antibiotic produced by Actinomycetes. The product extracted from the fermentation broth of the Str. melanochromogehes strain isolated from Guilin soil in China is called actinomycin and is the same as actinomycin D reported abroad.

Dactinomycin Powder is made from the culture broth of Streptomyces melanogaster by extraction, acidic alumina column chromatography, concentration under reduced pressure and recrystallisation in petroleum ether.
