Enrofloxacin, developed by Bayer in Germany, is the first broad-spectrum antimicrobial drug of fluoroquinolone class for livestock and poultry. It is widely used in the prevention and treatment of various bacterial diseases of animals including aquatic animals, and has strong antibacterial activity against almost all pathogenic bacteria of aquatic animals, and has good efficacy against diseases of aquatic animals such as red fin disease,rotting tail disease,rotting gill disease,enteritis disease and so on.

Enrofloxacin lactate is the lactate of enrofloxacin, its water solubility is better than that of enrofloxacin hydrochloride, with fast oral absorption and wide distribution in the body, it has a strong killing effect on gram-negative bacteria, and also has a good antimicrobial effect on gram-positive bacteria.

Uses and functions of Enrofloxacin Lactate.

It is used for mycoplasmosis (chronic respiratory disease) of chickens, avian colibacillosis, chicken dysentery, avian salmonellosis, avian bacillosis, piglet dysentery, yellow dysentery, oedematous colibacillosis in medium and large pigs, mycoplasma swollen bronchopneumonia in pigs, porcine pleuropneumonia, paratyphoid fever in piglets as well as mycoplasma and bacterial diseases in cattle, sheep, exemptions, dogs and so on. Aquatic: erythroderma, gill rot, enteritis, leucoderma, vibriosis, vertical scale disease, bacterial septicaemia disease.

Enrofloxacin Lactate is a fluoroquinolone for veterinarians, with broad-spectrum bactericidal effect, which is effective for both stationary and growing bacteria, and its mechanism of action is to antagonise the A subunit of bacterial DNA rotamase, so as to block the replication of bacterial DNA and present rapid bactericidal efficacy.
