Lincomycin Hcl Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Lincomycin hydrochloride mainly has strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria, some anaerobes and moulds, and its antibacterial spectrum is narrower than that of erythromycin.

Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic streptococcus, pneumococcus and mycobacterium pneumoniae, chicken septicemia mycobacterium is sensitive to this product, but enterococci are generally resistant to this product; anaerobic bacteria, such as Mycobacterium avium subspecies, tetanus bacillus, clostridium difficile, clostridium weilandii, digestive coccus and so on, are also sensitive to this product.

Mainly used in the treatment of Gram-positive bacteria, especially penicillin-resistant Gram-positive bacteria caused by a variety of infections, mycoplasmosis caused by chronic respiratory disease in poultry, swine wheezing, anaerobic infections such as necrotizing enteritis in chickens, etc., is also used in the treatment of swine dysentery of spirochetes, toxoplasmosis, and dogs, cats and cats with actinomycosis.

sepsis caused by cocci and staphylococci, bone and joint infections, surgical adjuvant treatment of chronic bone and joint infections, acute haematogenous osteomyelitis caused by staphylococci, etc. It can also be used for the treatment of infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

However, the product cannot penetrate into the cerebrospinal fluid, so it is not suitable for the treatment of meningitis. It can be used externally to treat purulent infections of gram-positive bacteria.

Lincomycin is an antibiotic that forms crosslinks within the peptidyltransferase loop region of 23S rRNA and inhibits bacterial protein synthesis.

Drug interactions of Lincomycin Hcl.

1. Synergistic effect when combined with Spectinomycin. Synergistic effect on staphylococci and streptococci when combined with gentamicin. Combined with erythromycin has an antagonistic effect.

2.Combined with aminoglycoside and peptide antibiotics, it may intensify the blocking effect on nerve-muscle junction.

3.Combined with antidiarrhoeal drugs that inhibit intestinal peristalsis, the intestinal toxins are delayed, leading to increased diarrhoea and prolonged.
