Closantel Sodium Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Iodosalamine chloride can completely kill sarcoptes scabiei, blood louse, Roundworm, Strongyloides, kidney nematode, whipworm, C. bovis, Obturata, radiating oesophagostoma, Fluke magnus, Fasciola hepatica, Capillaria, dermatomiasis, nasal musculi, tick flies, Sarcoptes scabiei, gastric flies of horses, canine mites and other domestic and foreign parasites. It has good effect on many kinds of fluke, nematode and arthropod larvae. The antifluke repellent activity is mainly against liver fluke, and the antinematode and antiarthropod larva repellent activity is mainly against various blood or plasma sucking insects. The clinical efficacy test showed that when the dosage of 10mg/kg body weight was taken, it had complete repelling effect on liver fasciola, anterior and posterior discus, lungworm and most of the gastrointestinal nematodes in vivo and in vitro, and was the best dose for sheep repelling insects.

In vitro study of Closantel Sodium.

Closantel inhibited resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecium with MICs of 1μg/mL and 1μg/mL, respectively. Closantel inhibited MRSA by 2μg/mL MICs. Closantel completely blocks infection of the host cell by E. coffeensis or A.phagocytophilum, treating cells that persist with infection for a day in a dose-dependent manner, thereby clearing the infection. Closantel inhibits autokinase activity of three sensing kinases from E. coffeensis. Closantel(50μg/mL) acts on the vascular tissue, causing it to induce contractions with greater amplitude and frequency than normal, and continues to stimulate at such amplitude and frequency for about 15 minutes, accompanied by an increase in muscle tone, thus reaching a maximum of 16 minutes, which is a level greater than 1.5 times the maximum normal amplitude.

Uses of Closantel Sodium.

As a new broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug, sodium cyanosalide has repellent activity against liver fluke, gastrointestinal nematode and arthropod in larval stage. It is mainly used for prevention and treatment of liver lamiasis, gastrointestinal nematodes and wild myiasis of sheep.
