Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Synthetic medium-acting glucocorticoid. Mainly used in allergic and autoimmune inflammatory diseases. Not generally used as replacement therapy for hypoadrenocorticism due to weak sodium retention.

Uses of Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate.

Adrenocorticotropic hormone analogue. They have a variety of pharmacological effects including anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and immunosuppressive.

Anti-inflammatory effects: glucocorticoids attenuate and prevent tissue response to inflammation, thereby reducing the manifestations of inflammation.

Immunosuppressive effects: prevent or inhibit cell-mediated immune responses, delayed allergic reactions, and attenuate the expansion of primary immune responses.

Anti-toxic, anti-shock effect: glucocorticoids can counteract the stimulatory response of bacterial endotoxin to the organism, reduce cellular damage, and play a role in protecting the organism.

Preparation of Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate.

(a) dissolving prednisolone phosphate with methanol, adding purified water after dissolving and clearing, adding sodium hydroxide solution dropwise to the tank for reaction, controlling the temperature of the dropwise process at 15-30°C, adjusting the pH value slowly to 9.2-10, stirring, and filtering after re-testing the pH value unchanged;

(b) in the dilution tank to add ethanol, add step (a) after the reaction of the filtrate, stirring precipitation of a large number of crystals, static at least 8 hours after the material, the material will be cleaned with ethanol and then dry, to get the prednisolone sodium phosphate, step (a) in the number of ml of methanol used in the number of grams of prednisolone phosphate 4-5 times, add the number of millilitres of purified water for the number of grams of 4-6 times the prednisolone phosphate, step (a) in the number of grams of prednisolone phosphate, the pH value slowly adjusted to 9.2-10, stirring, review the pH value remains unchanged and then filtered.
