Sophorin Powder Physiological effect.

Rutin, a member of the genus Vitamin P, is a glycoside of dehydroflavanone. It is a hydrogen transporter and may be involved in the action of oxidoreductases in the body, influencing the activity of the thyroid gland and protecting adrenaline from oxidation.

In the body it enhances the action of vitamin C and promotes its accumulation in the body. It maintains the elasticity of blood vessels, reduces their permeability and decreases their fragility.

Mechanism for hyaluronic acid is the composition of capillary wall cell interstitial matrix components, when it is hydrolysed by hyaluronidase, the resistance of the capillary is reduced, permeability and fragility increase, easy to cause bleeding.

Rutin can inhibit hyaluronidase, preventing hydrolysis of hyaluronic acid, thus enhancing the resistance of capillaries and reducing their permeability and fragility.

Rutin also has the ability to promote cell proliferation, prevent blood cell agglutination, as well as diuretic, antitussive, hypolipidemic, antihypertensive, protect the ulcer surface, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects.

Uses and Function of Sophorin.

1. Food colouring (like lemon yellow); antioxidant; nutritional supplement. Mainly used in cold drinks, beverages, pastries, processed meat products, processed aquatic products and so on.

2. Vitamin drugs.
