Dendrobium Nobile Extract Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Dendrobium officinale is a traditional and valuable traditional Chinese medicine, with the reputation of being a Yin nourishing holy product and the first of the nine immortal herbs. Its main components include alkaloids, sesquiterpenes, phenanthrene and bibenzyl analogues, which have anti-tumour, hypoglycaemic and neuroprotective effects.

Dendrobium Officinale Extract is mostly added into hydrating and moisturising skincare products because of its miraculous intrinsic ability to generate water to help moisturise and replenish the skin.

Uses and functions of Dendrobium Nobile Extract.

The main function of Dendrobium Chinense is to benefit the stomach and generate fluids, nourish yin and clear heat. It is clinically used for heat disease and injury to fluid, thirst and tongue dryness, deficiency heat after illness, stomach disease, dry vomiting, and tongue light with little moss.

It has the functions of enhancing immunity, strengthening yin and benefiting essence, generating fluid and nourishing stomach, moistening lung and relieving cough, nourishing yin and clearing heat, generating fluid and quenching thirst, and is used for heat illnesses that injure the fluid, thirst and tongue dryness, post-disease hypothermia, anticancer, benefiting the stomach and generating fluid, nourishing yin and clearing heat, cleansing the liver, brightening the eyes, regulating blood lipids, and lowering blood glucose.

Appliance of Dendrobium Nobile Extract.

1. Used for heat illness and injury of fluid or insufficient stomach yin, dry tongue and thirst with fresh dendrobium with fresh shengdi, maitake, pollen, etc.; nourishing yin and benefiting the stomach soup with this product with sasanqua, maitake, yuzu, etc., to treat insufficient stomach yin and deficiency of fluid and thirst.

2. It can be used in treating yin deficiency and fluid deficiency and non-resumption of deficiency heat by combining with Shengbaiwei and Maidong.

3. This product has the effect of brightening eyes and strengthening waist and knees. For example, Dendrobium Luminous Pill, that is, Dendrobium with Chrysanthemum, Cuscuta, Fructus Lycii, Radix Rehmanniae, etc., for vision loss; with Radix Rehmanniae, Fructus Lycii, Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, etc., for kidney yin deficiency, lumbar and knee weakness.

Preparation of Bulk Dendrobium Nobile Extract Powder.

Weighing 39kg of fresh Dendrobium cinereum above ground stem part, drying (temperature control at about 70 ℃), crushing, to get Dendrobium cinereum powder 5.1kg, with 95% industrial ethanol 25L soaked 48h, reflux extraction, repeat the extraction for three times. The powder was dried and used as the material for polysaccharide extraction.

Concentrate the extract under reduced pressure to get ethanol extract, dissolve it with water, extract it with petroleum ether, chloroform and ethyl acetate sequentially, and concentrate it to get 40g of petroleum ether part paste, 63.5g of chloroform part powder and 10.7g of ethyl acetate part powder respectively.

The aqueous layer after ethyl acetate extraction was poured into MCI column, rinsed with double-distilled water to remove polysaccharides, and then rinsed with 100% methanol to concentrate the eluent, and 31.4g of the primary extract was obtained.
