    Product Overview:

    D-biotin is one of the eight forms of the water-soluble vitamin, biotin, also known as vitamin B7, which is a coenzyme - or co-enzyme - used in many metabolic reactions in the body.D-biotin is involved in lipid and protein metabolism, and helps to convert food into glucose, which the body can use for energy. It is also important for maintaining skin, hair and mucous membranes.

    D-Biotin Powder Usage and Synthesis.

    Biotin is an essential coenzyme in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is involved in the interconversion of carbohydrates and proteins, the conversion of proteins and carbohydrates into fats. It also acts as a coenzyme for carboxylases, transferring carboxyl groups and fixing carbon dioxide.

    It also acts as a carboxyl carrier as a cofactor of many enzymes, fixing carbon dioxide and decarboxylation in carbohydrate metabolism. Biotin participates in the metabolic processes of sugars, proteins, and fats in the animal body in the form of coenzymes.

    Biotin is necessary to maintain the development of animal skin, hair, hooves, reproduction and nervous system, but also to improve feed utilisation, weight gain and so on. When lacking, growth is slow, reproduction is impaired, and dermatitis, hair loss, and skin keratinisation occur.

    Pigs commonly suffer from skin ulceration, inflammation of the oral mucosa, diarrhoea, cramps, cracks and bleeding on the sole of the hoof. Mainly used as an adjuvant for lesions caused by vitamin H deficiency and malnutrition.

    D-Biotin Powder

    Uses and functions of D-Biotin.

    Used as food fortifier. Can be used in infant food at 0.1-0.4mg/kg, and in drinking liquid at 0.02-0.08mg/kg.

    Nutritional supplement. It can be used in the food industry as a processing aid according to GB2760-90 in China. It has physiological functions such as preventing skin diseases and promoting lipid metabolism. Large consumption of raw protein can lead to biotin deficiency.

    As a feed additive, it is mainly used in poultry and sow feed. The usual premixed mass fraction is 1-2 per cent.

    D-Biotin

    Function of D-Biotin Powder.

    The human body needs about 100 to 300 micrograms per day. There is an anti-biotin protein in raw egg white that binds to biotin, and the bound biotin cannot be absorbed by the digestive tract; this results in a biotin deficiency in animals, which can lead to loss of appetite, tongue inflammation, dermatitis, hair loss, etc.

    However, we have not seen any cases of biotin deficiency in humans, probably due to the fact that apart from food sources, intestinal bacteria can also synthesise biotin.

    Biotin is a coenzyme of many enzymes in the human body, and is involved in the metabolism of fatty acids and carbohydrates in the body; it promotes the synthesis of proteins; it is also involved in the metabolism of vitamin B12, folic acid and pantothenic acid; and it promotes the synthesis and excretion of urea.

    ①Assists in the normal synthesis and metabolism of fat, liver sugar and amino acids in the body;

    ②Promote the normal functioning and growth of sweat glands, nervous tissue, bone marrow, male gonads, skin and hair, and alleviate the symptoms of eczema and dermatitis;

    ③Preventing grey hair and hair loss, and helping to treat baldness;

    ④Ease muscle pain;

    ⑤ Promoting urea synthesis and excretion, purine synthesis and oleic acid biosynthesis.

    ⑥ It is used in the treatment of arteriosclerosis, stroke, lipid metabolism disorder, hypertension, coronary heart disease and blood circulation disorders.
