Characteristic of Zinc Lactate.
Zinc lactate, chemical formula Zn(C3H5O3)2-3H2O, molecular weight 297.47, white rhombohedral crystals or powder (dextrorotatory), containing three molecules of crystalline water. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and ether. Lose crystalline water when heated to 100°C. 1 portion of zinc lactate can be dissolved in 60 portions of cold water or 6 portions of hot water, the zinc content of this product is 22.2%.
Scope of use and dosage: 130-250mg/kg for dairy products; 113-318mg/kg for baby food; 40-80mg/kg for cereals and their products.It is produced by crystallisation of lactic acid and zinc hydroxide. It is mainly used for medicine, which is used as antiepileptic agent.
Product Method of Bulk Zinc Lactate Powder.
1. Complex decomposition method 13.0g of calcium lactate (pentahydrate) and 12.1g of zinc sulfate (heptahydrate) added to 100mL of water, stirring and heating reflux reaction. At the end of the reaction, while hot, filtration and washing with water to remove calcium sulfate precipitate (light blue white powder), the filtrate is a milky white translucent liquid, cooling and resting that is white crystals precipitated.

2.
