Zinc Methionine Sulfate raw Materials Powder Zinc Methionine Sulfate
Product Overview:
Zinc methionine, also known as zinc methionine chelate and organic zinc methionine, is a micronutrient supplement that is close to the natural form of the animal body, as inorganic zinc interacts with methionine to form a chelate with a cyclic structure.

Zinc Methionine Sulfate Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Zinc methionine is a feed additive widely used in aquaculture and animal husbandry. Studies have shown that zinc methionine is more effective than inorganic zinc sulfate in improving the production performance and immunity of aquatic animals, such as crucian carp and grouper.
In addition, zinc methionine has advantages in protecting the environment. Zinc methionine is also widely used in animal husbandry, e.g. for the prevention of mastitis and hoof diseases. When choosing zinc methionine products, it is recommended to visit the suppliers on the spot and understand the chemical process to ensure the quality of the product and the application effect.
Uses of Zinc Methionine Sulfate.
Zinc methionine is an organic zinc analog produced by a chemical synthesis reaction between methionine and inorganic zinc sulfate and zinc oxide.
Zinc methionine resists rumen microbial degradation and has a similar absorption rate compared to zinc oxide, but has a different post-absorption metabolism rate, which reduces urinary excretion and slows the decline of plasma zinc. Addition of zinc methionine to dairy cow diets increases milk production and reduces somatic cell counts in milk, as well as hardening hoof surfaces and reducing hoof disease.
Zinc methionine is generally added at a rate of 5 to 10 grams per head per day, or 0.03% to 0.08% of the dry matter of the diet. In addition, zinc methionine has been used in fish farming, such as crucian carp and grouper, to improve growth performance, promote zinc deposition in vertebrae as well as improve the antioxidant property of fish.
Preparation of Zinc Methionine Sulfate.
A method of preparing zinc methionine, comprising the following steps:
(1) salt-forming reaction step: to a 100-liter reaction kettle with a heating device, electric stirring, and a thermometer, put in 100 moles of methionine, 1500 moles of water, 55 moles of zinc oxide, and 2 moles of formic acid, and react under stirring with simultaneous heating at 70-80 ℃, Chemicalbook reacted for 6 hours under stirring. Stop heating, salt formation reaction is completed.
(2) Drying step: the granular product obtained by centrifugal separation is placed in a stainless steel drying sieve with upper and lower air permeability, and put into a drying oven for drying; after 24 hours, the product obtained is sifted, and the finished product of zinc methionine is obtained, and the zinc methionine product contains zinc content of more than 15%.
