Chitin Usage and Synthesis.
They can be used for:
① Ion exchange resins for purifying water and extracting uranium from seawater;

It can also be obtained by crushing the shells and first using 2% dilute alkaline solution to decompose the protein for about 1.5 hours and separate it, then adding 5% to 10% hydrochloric acid to the insoluble matter to convert calcium carbonate into calcium chloride and dissolve it, and then centrifugally separating, washing with water, and drying it.
