Pharmaceutical raw materials Sulbactam sodium Powder
Product Overview:
Sulbactam sodium is an irreversible competitive β-lactamase inhibitor, which inhibits β-lactamase produced by both Gram-positive and negative bacteria (except Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and inactivates the enzyme in an irreversible reaction with the enzyme, and does not restore the enzyme's activity after the inhibitor is removed.

Pharmaceutical raw materials Sulbactam sodium Powder Details
Sulbactam sodium Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Sulbactam sodium is an anti-infective agent. In combination with penicillins or cephalosporins, it is used for the treatment of urinary tract infections, lung infections, bronchial infections, ENT infections, abdominal and pelvic infections, biliary tract infections, septicaemia, and soft-tissue infections of the skin caused by sensitive bacteria.
Uses and functions of Sulbactam sodium.
Sulbactam sodium is used in combination with penicillins or cephalosporins for the treatment of urinary tract infections due to sensitive organisms, pulmonary infections, bronchial infections, otorhinolaryngological infections, abdominal and pelvic infections, biliary tract infections, septicaemia, and soft skin tissue infections.
Pharmacological Effect of Sulbactam sodium.
1, Sulbactam sodium is a semi-synthetic β-lactamase inhibitor, with strong antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, and poor effect on other bacteria, but with strong irreversible competitive inhibition of β-lactamase produced by Staphylococcus aureus and most of the applanation-negative bacteria.
When used in combination with penicillins and cephalosporins, the MIC of Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, and Mycobacterium fragilis, which are resistant to the first two types of antibiotics due to enzyme production, can be lowered to within the sensitive range.
2, Sulbactam sodium has a strong affinity for PBP1 of Bacillus chimera and PBP2 of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus.
Drug interactions of Bulk Sulbactam sodium Powder.
1. Probenecid, aspirin, indomethacin, prednisone and sulphonamides may reduce the renal excretion of this product. Therefore, when used in combination with this product, it increases its blood concentration, prolongs the excretion time, and may increase the toxicity.
2, this product and disulfiram (acetaldehyde dehydrogenase inhibitors) should not be used together.
