Calcium Vitamin C is a neutral ascorbate that is non-irritating to the stomach and provides about 10% of the very easily absorbed calcium at the same time as the vitamin C supplement. 

Calcium Vitamin C is an antioxidant, antiviral, antitoxin, anti-allergenic, immune-boosting, and an important factor in the synthesis of collagen, the most important supportive tissue in the body, as well as a controversial anticancer agent, and is becoming more widely recognised for its important role in growth, maintenance of health, and the fight against disease.

Uses and functions of Calcium Ascorbate.

As an antioxidant, China's regulations can be used in meat products and soups, the maximum use level of 1.0g/kg (in terms of ascorbic acid in fats and oils); used in instant noodles and pastries, the maximum use level of 0.2g/kg; can also be used as nutrient enhancers.

Vitamin C and calcium carbonate were used as raw materials for the reaction without adding nitrogen:

In a three-necked bottle equipped with an electric stirrer, 44g of VC and a certain amount of water were added, the reaction temperature was controlled with a water bath, and a certain amount of calcium carbonate was added slowly under uniform stirring to keep the liquid surface covered with CO2.

After the reaction is complete, the filtrate is transferred to a three-necked bottle, a large amount of methanol is added at room temperature, and the crystals are slowly alcohol precipitated, the temperature is continuously lowered after the addition, the filtration is carried out, washed with methanol, and dried in vacuum, and the finished product of calcium vitamin C is obtained.

The optimal process conditions were as follows: addition of water 1mL/g, reaction temperature 50℃, reaction time 100min, feeding ratio VC∶CaCO3=1∶0.525, the average content of calcium vitamin C generated under these reaction conditions was 99.35%, and the yield reached 86.91%.
