Preparation of Zinc Methionate.
A method for preparing zinc methionine, comprising the following steps:
(1) Salt-forming reaction step: 100 moles of methionine, 1500 moles of water, 55 moles of zinc oxide, and 2 moles of formic acid are put into a 100-litre reaction kettle with a heating device, electric stirring, and a thermometer in sequence, and the reaction is heated at 70-80°C simultaneously under stirring, and the reaction is reacted for 6 hours under stirring, and the heating is stopped and the salt-forming reaction is completed.
(2) Drying step: the granular product obtained by centrifugal separation, placed in the upper and lower permeable stainless steel drying sieve, and put into the drying oven for drying; after 24 hours, the product obtained is sieved to get the finished product of zinc methionine, which contains more than 15% of zinc methionine.
