Raw material Willow Bark Extract powder Details
Willow Bark Extract powder Usage and Synthesis.
White Willow Bark Extract is an herbal compound derived from White Willow Bark that is believed to have anti-inflammatory and pain-reducing abilities.
White willow bark extract may be effective in relieving pain in arthritis sufferers and is better for treating joint area pain or arthritis.
In addition, high doses of white willow bark extract may also be helpful in relieving low back pain. The main effects of white willow bark extract include antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic and antitumour.
Uses of Willow Bark Extract powder.
White Willow Bark Extract is used clinically as an antipyretic and analgesic. 210 patients with chronic lower back and lumbar pain who had recently experienced an increase in pain (more than half) were randomised to receive either a low dose (120mg/day) or high dose (240mg/day) of White Willow Bark Extract or a placebo, and were allowed to supplement with a pain reliever, 400mg of antimitotic benzyl alcohol a day, if necessary. .
91% of patients completed this trial, which resulted in pain relief from white willow bark extract. There was a percentage of patients who had at least 5 days of pain relief in the last week without antipyrine treatment, and to a lesser extent, a percentage of patients who needed antipyrine at the beginning of the study period.
According to the results of the trial, 39 per cent of the high-dose group had pain relief in the initial week of treatment, compared to 21 per cent of the low-dose group and only 6 per cent of the placebo group.
The high-dose group had significant pain relief in the first week of treatment, while patients in the placebo group needed to take antipyrine for the entire duration of the trial to get relief.
All three trial groups had very mild adverse effects, some of which may have been reactions to the antimitotic phencyclidine, and one person in the low-dose group had an allergic reaction (swollen, itchy eyes) that may have been due to the drug treatment.
Pharmacological Effect of Willow Bark Extract powder.
1、Treatment of fever, colds and infections Salicin, the active ingredient in white willow bark extract, is known as "natural aspirin" and can be used to treat mild fevers, colds, infections (influenza), acute and chronic rheumatic complaints, headaches and pain caused by inflammation.
Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), as a synthetic substitute for salicin, has potentially dangerous side effects on the stomach and intestines. As its natural configuration, salicin passes harmlessly through the gastrointestinal system and is converted to salicylic acid in the blood and liver.
The conversion process takes several hours, so the results are not immediately felt by the body but the effects generally last for several hours.
2, reduce arthritis pain and low back pain salicin is thought to be the source of white willow bark's anti-inflammatory and pain-reducing ability. White willow bark's pain-relieving ability is usually slower to take effect but lasts longer than the effects of common aspirin products. One trial found that a class of herbal compounds containing 100 ng of salicin was effective in improving pain relief in arthritis patients after two months of continuous use.
Another trial found that a daily intake of 1360mg of white willow bark extract (containing 240mg of salicin) for two weeks resulted in better efficacy in treating joint pain and/or arthritis. The use of high doses of white willow bark extract may also help relieve low back pain.
A four-week trial found that white willow bark extract containing 240mg of salicin was effective in reducing the progression of low back pain.
Extraction method of Bulk Willow Bark Extract powder.
Take the original herbs, cut fine into 1 ~ 2cm, mixed into the appropriate amount of calcium carbonate powder, add water at 60 ℃ continuous countercurrent extraction, keep the material in the extraction chamber running time of 1 hour, the extract at 60 ℃ below the decompression of concentration to the amount of 3 times the volume of the herbs, add lead acetate saturated aqueous solution of stirring, filtration, filtrate with the appropriate amount of calcium carbonate powder, pass through the hydrogen sulfide to delead and filtered, filtrate and then add calcium carbonate powder, decompression of 60 ℃ below the concentration of syrupy, degreasing the residue with ethyl acetate temperature immersion, ethyl acetate leachate decompression recovery that is obtained.
