Tryptone Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Tryptic Casein Peptones, also known as CaseinTryptone, is a kind of tryptone, which is made from casein in milk, degraded by tryptic enzyme treatment into small segmented peptides and peptones, rich in essential amino acids such as tryptophan, arginine, etc. It is used to prepare microbial culture medium and as an organic nitrogen source.
Compared with other tryptones, tryptic casein peptones are more fully enzymatically degraded due to the single raw protein, smaller peptide segments, high solubility in water, and lighter colour of solution. Commonly used in microbial culture, high-end fermentation engineering and cell exocrine expression experiments.
Uses of Tryptone.

Wherein: per 1000 ml of culture medium, it contains 15-20 g of tryptic case peptone, 1-5 g of soya peptone, 1-5 g of liver digest, 1-5 g of yeast extract, 2-6 g of sodium chloride, 0.5-2 g of sodium thioglycolate, 1-4 g of dextrose, 1-3 g of dipotassium hydrogenphosphate, and 10-20 g of agar, and pH = 7.3 ± 0.2.
The improved formulation of TSA medium can provide comprehensive nutrition, maintain the osmotic pressure of bacteria, repair damaged bacteria, and is suitable for the cultivation of most anaerobic microorganisms without affecting the existing performance, i.e., it can cultivate aerobic microorganisms at the same time.
