Mecobalamin raw Powder CAS 13422-55-4
Product Overview:
Methylcobalamin injection also has the ability to inhibit the abnormal excitation conduction of nerve tissue, promote the maturation and division of orthoerythrocytes, and improve anemia. Mecobalamin can rapidly restore the red blood cell count, hemoglobin, hematocrit value of rats, which are reduced due to B12 deficiency. It is applied to megaloblastic anemia and peripheral nerve disorder caused by vitamin B12 deficiency.

Mecobalamin raw Powder CAS 13422-55-4 Details
Mecobalamin Usage and Synthesis.
Methylcobalamin is a therapeutic agent for peripheral neurological disorders. Compared with other vitamin B12 preparations, it has good transmissibility to nerve tissues, and promotes nucleic acid-protein-lipid metabolism through the methyl-conversion reaction to repair damaged nerve tissues.
In the experiment of glial cells, this drug increases the activity of methionine synthase to promote the synthesis of myelin lipid lecithin. It improves the metabolic disorders of nerve tissues, promotes the synthesis of axon and its proteins, makes the transport rate of skeletal proteins close to normal, and maintains the function of axon.
Uses of Mecobalamin.
Methylcobalamin is an endogenous coenzyme B12 that participates in the one-carbon unit cycle and plays an important role in the transmethylation reaction for the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine.
Used in the treatment of neurological disorders, relief of pain and numbness, quick relief of neuralgia, improvement of pain caused by cervical spondylosis, treatment of sudden deafness, etc.
Preparation of Mecobalamin.
The existing synthesis methods of methylcobalamin are all two steps of cyanocobalamin reduction and methylation, and the actual operation is a one-pot reaction, and the common synthesis methods are mainly:
Preparation of methylcobalamin with cyanocobalamin as raw material by sodium borohydride reduction and methylation with iodomethane;
The method of preparing methylcobalamin by reducing cyanocobalamin as raw material by sodium borohydride and methylating dimethyl sulfate; The method of preparing methylcobalamin by reducing cyanocobalamin as raw material by sodium borohydride and methylating methyl p-toluenesulfonate;
Method for preparing methylcobalamin by reducing cyanocobalamin with sodium borohydride in the presence of a cobalt salt or iron salt, followed by methylation with trimethylsulfoxide iodide or trimethylsulfoxide bromide; Method for preparing cyanocobalamin by reducing cyanocobalamin with sodium borohydride and then methylating it with dimethyl carbonate.
