raw Materials powder Chenodeoxycholic acid
Product Overview:
Deoxycholic acid can reduce the synthesis and secretion of cholesterol, and reduce the total cholesterol output in bile, so as to improve the solubility of cholesterol in bile, and promote the cholesterol dissociation of stones to achieve the stone-dissolving effect. This product has a high concentration in the gallbladder after oral administration, and can be repeated hepatoenteric circulation. This product is easily decomposed by bacteria in the gut, producing metabolites with liver toxicity.

raw Materials powder Chenodeoxycholic acid Details
Chenodeoxycholic acid powder Usage and Synthesis.
Goose deoxycholic acid is a bioactive molecule extracted from the bile of chicken, duck, goose, etc. It can be used to prevent and treat cholesterol gallstones and hyperlipidemia, and also has a certain effect on bile pigment stones and mixed stones. In addition, the compound can be used to investigate the substrate range of newly discovered organic reactions in the study of organic synthesis methodology, and has certain applications in basic biochemistry research.
Uses of Chenodeoxycholic acid.
Chenodeoxycholic acid is a dissolving agent for cholesterol gallstones. It is used for the prevention and treatment of cholesterol gallstones and hyperlipidemia, and also has a certain effect on bile pigment stones and mixed stones. It is effective for patients with mild symptoms, good gallbladder function and no obstruction of biliary tract. Long-term use has mild diarrhea, a few patients may have itching, dizziness, nausea and abdominal distension, and some patients may induce biliary colic and temporary elevated aminotransferase. Pregnant women, women of childbearing age, pancreatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, gastric and duodenal ulcer, hepatitis and biliary obstruction are prohibited.
Pharmacological action of Chenodeoxycholic acid.
Cholic acid mainly acts by reducing the saturation of cholesterol in bile. When andeoxycholic acid accounts for 70% of bile salts in bile, the lipids can be restored to the micellar state, so that cholesterol is dissolved and shed in an unsaturated state. Large doses [10 to 15mg/(kg·d)] can inhibit the synthesis of cholesterol and increase the secretion of bile in patients with chololithiasis, but the secretion of bile salts and phospholipids remain unchanged.
Product Methods of Chenodeoxycholic acid.
The process of producing deoxycholic acid from goose (chicken) bile: goose (chicken) bile was hydrolyzed by NaOH to obtain hydrolysate, then acidified by HCI to obtain total bile acid, degreased by defatted gasoline and ethanol to obtain deoxycholic acid crude, salt by ethanol and barium chloride to obtain deoxycholic acid barium salt by ethyl acetate and HCI to crystallize, washed and dried by ethyl acetate to obtain deoxycholic acid. The total yield (for chicken or goose bile) was 1.92%.
