It has certain antibacterial effect on Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus pyogenes and some staphylococci, Bacillus pyogenes, Bacillus anthracis, Bacillus plague, Bacillus diphtheriae, Bacillus tetani, Brucella spp., Haemophilus influenzae, Campylobacter spp., and Vibrio cholerae, and it has inhibitory effect on Rickettsiae, Mycoplasma, Chlamydiae, Spirochaetes, and some protozoa.

    Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp, etc. are mostly resistant to this product.
