Berberine Sulfate Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Berberine Sulfate is an orange crystalline powder, odourless and extremely bitter in taste. The solubility in water is 1:30, slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in chloroform, insoluble in ether.

Uses of Berberine Sulfate.

1, sensitive bacteria and dense spirochete infection caused by livestock, piglets, red diarrhoea, yellow diarrhoea, white diarrhoea, enteritis, oedema disease, paratyphoid fever.

It has inhibitory effect on a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and has antibacterial effect on haemolytic streptococcus, dysentery bacillus, salmonella, typhoid fever bacillus, bacillus pasteurus, E. coli, staphylococcus aureus, Fusarium, shigella dysentery bacillus, etc., and enhances phagocytosis of white blood cells, and inhibits tuberculosis bacillus and plague bacillus to varying degrees, and it also has fever-reducing effect and anti-arrhythmic effect.
