Polygala Extract Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Polygala extract is extracted from the dried roots of PolygalatenuifoliaWilld. or Polygalasibirica L., family Polygalaceae, mainly containing saponins, oligosaccharides esters and other compounds. It has various biological activities such as beneficial, sedative-hypnotic, antidepressant, antioxidant aging, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, antitussive and expectorant.

Uses of Polygala Extract.

1, the role of the central nervous system, farnesol root bark, farnesol root and root extracts of wood heart can promote sodium barbiturate subthreshold hypnotic dose of mice to sleep.

2, expectorant effect, farnesolide can stimulate the gastric mucosa, causing mild nausea, thus reflexively increase bronchial secretion and expectorant effect.

Pharmacological Effect of Polygala Extract.

1. Expectorant effect of farnesoid saponins can stimulate the gastric mucosa, causing mild nausea, thus reflexively increasing bronchial secretion and expectorant effect.

Extracts to dogs orally, can promote tracheal secretion, the strength of the action of: Platycodon grandiflorum > farzhi, such as phenol red excretion law for: farzhi > Platycodon grandiflorum.
