Cornusine is a naturally occurring indole alkaloid and the main biologically active ingredient of the traditional Chinese medicine Cornus officinalis.
It has pharmacological activities such as hypertensive effect, anti-tumour, cardioprotective, weight loss, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-dementia.
