Gastrodin Raw Materials Gastrodin Powder Details
Gastrodin Powder Physiological effect.
Aspalathin is extracted and processed from the dried tubers of the orchid plant aspalathus and has a variety of pharmacological effects. It has antispasmodic and expectorant, sedative, analgesic, sleeping and anesthesia, and can prolong anesthesia, synergistic with other anesthetic drugs.
Aspalathin is indicated for neurasthenia, vertigo, headache, migraine, neuralgia, epilepsy and hypertension. In addition, aspalathin has the effect of protecting cell membranes and inhibiting oxygen free radicals, which can reduce nerve cell damage caused by ischemia-reperfusion.
In addition, aspalathin has concentration-dependent and endothelium-dependent vasodilatory effects, which can significantly counteract the vasoconstrictor effect, inhibit the inositol 1, 4, 5-triphosphate inositol receptor on the myoplasmic reticulum of arterial smooth muscle, and promote the opening of the adenosine triphosphate-sensitive potassium channel on the vascular smooth muscle, which in turn produces a vasodilatory effect.
Uses and Function of Gastrodin.
(1) It is used for divine failure, divine failure syndrome and traumatic brain syndrome;
(2) For vertigo: Meniere's disease, drug-induced vertigo, traumatic vertigo, sudden deafness, vestibular neuronitis, and insufficient blood supply to the vertebral basilar artery;
(3) For neuralgia: trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, occipital large neuralgia and so on;
(4) used for headache: vascular headache, migraine, neurasthenia and divine failure syndrome.
Anticonvulsants. Have sedative, hypnotic effect, and can dilate blood vessels, improve myocardial microcirculation. For neurasthenia, neurological headache, trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, vertigo. Preparations are tablets, injections.
Pharmacological effect of Gastrodin.
11 Role in Vascular Blood Pressure The vascular endothelial cells secrete the vasoconstrictor endothelin (ET), endothelium-derived vasorelaxant factors, and nitric oxide (NO), all of which are involved in the pathogenesis of hypertension. constant release of ET maintains vasoconstrictor homeostasis, and when the blood pressure is increased, the endothelial cells are damaged, regenerated, and a large number of ETs are generated, causing the corresponding clinical and pathological changes in hypertensive patients.
When vascular endothelium is damaged in hypertension, the circulating angiotensin Ⅱ increases, generates superoxide dismutase to inactivate NO, and reduces NO content, which indirectly leads to vasoconstriction and endothelial dysfunction, suggesting that ET and NO are jointly involved in the occurrence and development of hypertension, and that the synthesis and release of ET increase further, whereas NO decreases, which further aggravates the condition of hypertension.
1.2 The anti-platelet effect was measured by turbidimetric method to determine the aggregation rate of platelets, and the results showed that TIANMA extract could inhibit the platelet aggregation induced by adenosine diphosphate (ADP) in platelet aggregation tests in rabbits in vitro, rats in semi-isolated form, and mice in vivo; in vitro test, TIANMA extract G2 also inhibited the platelet aggregation induced by platelet-activating factor (PAF).
