Gallic acid Raw material Gallic acid powder
Product Overview:
Gallic acid (GA) is a component of hydrolyzable tannins, also known as pentosanic acid, chemically known as 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid. Gallic acid has a relatively high content in Yunnan Puerh Tea, and itself has a variety of biological effects such as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-mutagenic.

Gallic acid Raw material Gallic acid powder Details
Gallic acid powder Usage and Synthesis.
Gallic acid itself has significant antioxidant effects, in addition to many other effects such as anti-tumor, trypanocidal, hepatoprotective, and anti-hepatitis B virus; a recent study has pointed out that gallic acid may be one of the effective components of Pu-erh tea in inhibiting cholesterol synthesis by the HepG2 cell line.
And the overall level of gallic acid in Pu-erh tea (9.01mg/g) is higher than that of some other botanical herbs; in this sense, gallic acid is one of the important physiologically active components of Pu-erh tea.
Uses of Gallic acid powder.
Gallic acid has many uses in pharmacy, ink, dye, food, light industry and organic synthesis. Gallic acid and trivalent iron ions to generate blue-black precipitate, is the raw material of blue-black ink; industry is also used in tanning; can also do photographic developer.
Gallic acid propyl ester is an antioxidant, which can be used in edible fats and oils to prevent rancidity and spoilage. In medicine, gallic acid is a hemostatic astringent and a mild local irritant.
It has antimicrobial properties and can be used to treat bacillary dysentery. It has astringent, hemostatic and antidiarrheal effects. Can be used as an antiseptic. It can be used to prepare pyrogallic gallic acid, drugs, inks, medium dyes and explosion-proof agents. It is also used as a developer and analytical reagent for detecting free inorganic acids, dihydroxyacetone, alkaloids and metals.
Mainly used as a color-forming agent for blue-black ink. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry for the preparation of sulfonamide synergist TMP and as the coordinating agent of sulfonamides such as SMZ, SDB, etc. It is also used in the food industry for the preparation of preservative TMP.
Used in food industry for the preparation of preservative gallopropyl ester. It is used in the defense industry for the preparation of explosion-proof agent. In addition, it can also be used in the production of mordant dyes and as a developer.
Used as depolarizing agent in electrochemical analysis; used to reduce phosphomolybdic acid; used for the determination of antimony, barium, bismuth, calcium, cerium and copper, etc.; used for the determination of phosphorus, nitrite, silver, thorium and titanium, etc.
Characteristic of Gallic acid powder.
White or light brown needle-like crystal or powder. Melting point 235-240 ℃ (decomposition). Loss of water of crystallization when heated to 100-120 ℃, loss of carbon dioxide when heated to more than 200 ℃ to produce pyrogallic gallic acid (i.e., lignotriol).
Soluble in hot water, ether, ethanol, acetone and glycerol, insoluble in cold water, insoluble in benzene and chloroform.
Product method of Bulk Gallic acid powder.
Produced by five times the seeds. Pentaphyllum's main ingredient is tannic acid, is a hydrolyzed tannin, can dissolve in hot water, has an astringent flavor, is and kind of amorphous complex organic matter.
China's pentaphyllum tannins are formed by the complex mixture of pentaphyllum acid, dipicolinic acid and glucose combined in the form of glycosides or esters. Tannic acid hydrolyzed under pressure to generate gallic acid and glucose.
The hydrolysis of tannic acid is carried out by hydrolysis under pressure to produce gallic acid and glucose, and the hydrolysis is carried out by gallic acid ester, and then gallic acid is hydrolyzed by double gallic acid ester, the temperature of hydrolysis is 133-135℃, and the pressure is 0.18-0.2MPa, and the endpoint of the reaction is reached by keeping the reaction for 2h from the rising pressure to 0.18MPa. Compared with normal pressure hydrolysis, sulfuric acid and steam can be saved, and the production capacity can be increased by 25%.
