Raw Materials Fumaric Acid powder
Product Overview:
Fumaric acid is an important organic chemical raw material, an intermediate of fine chemical products, and an important derivative of maleic anhydride. It is widely used in the fields of food, coatings, resins, and plasticizers. In the food industry, fumaric acid is used as an acidulant and can be used in refreshing drinks, Western wines, cold drinks, concentrated juices, canned fruits, pickles, and ice cream. It is used as an acidic substance for gasifiers in solid beverages, with good bubble persistence and fine product texture.

Raw Materials Fumaric Acid powder Details
Fumaric Acid Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Fumaric acid is considered a non-toxic food additive and can be used as a flavoring agent, pH control agent, antimicrobial agent or pickling agent in food and beverages. Fumaric acid is widely used in baking, beverages and desserts, such as wheat, corn tortillas, frozen cookie dough, sourdough and rye bread, juice, wine, jelly and jam, gelatin desserts, alginate desserts, pie fillings, etc.
Uses of Fumaric Acid.
Food acidulant, plays an important role in antibacterial and antiseptic properties; acidity regulator, acidulant, anti-thermal oxidation aid, pickling promoter, and spice. When used as an acidic substance in solid beverage gasifier, the bubbles are long-lasting and delicate; fine chemical intermediates such as medicine and optical bleaching agents. Used in the production of sodium dithiosuccinate, an antidote, and iron-rich blood, a drug for the treatment of microcytic anemia. Also used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins.
Used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins, pesticides, acidulants and amino acids, etc.
This product is a food additive - acidulant, used in refreshing drinks, fruit candies, jellies, ice cream, etc., mostly used in combination with acidulant citric acid. The monosodium salt made by the reaction of fumaric acid and sodium hydroxide is also used as an acid condiment, and is also used as an intermediate for synthetic resins and mordants.
Pharmacological Action of Fumaric Acid.
Product Method of Bulk Fumaric Acid Powder.
Benzene (or 80% of butene) and excess air are absorbed by circulating acid in a fluidized bed or fixed bed reactor to generate maleic acid; then decolorized and filtered, maleic acid is converted into fumaric acid under the catalytic action of thiourea, and the reactants are filtered, washed and dried to obtain the finished product.
The product can also be obtained by furfural liquid phase oxidation. Add 58.5g KClO3 powder, an appropriate amount of V2O5/MoO3 (0.8:1) catalyst and 100mL 0.5mol/L hydrochloric acid solution to a 250mL flask, add 20mL of furfural at a rate of 1mL/min under constant stirring at 110℃, and continue to react for 2h after addition. Then cool to room temperature, filter and recover the filtrate. The filter cake is placed in 100mL distilled water, crushed and filtered to obtain crude fumaric acid, and the finished product is recrystallized with dilute hydrochloric acid.
