Amber Acid Raw Materials powder Amber Acid
Product Overview:
Succinic acid, also known as succinic acid, is a dicarboxylic acid with the chemical formula C4H6O4. It is colourless crystals with an acidic taste and is soluble in water, ethanol and ether, but insoluble in chloroform and dichloromethane. Succinic acid has two crystal types: α-type and β-type. The α-type is stable below 137°C, while the β-type is stable above 137°C. The β-type is stable at 137°C and above. When heated below the melting point, butanedioic acid sublimates and dehydrates to form butanedioic anhydride. In addition, butanedioic acid has a small toxicity, a certain irritation to the skin, but does not have a toxic effect on the whole body.

Amber Acid Raw Materials powder Amber Acid Details
Amber Acid Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Succinic acid has a wide range of applications. It is mainly used in the preparation of derivatives such as succinic anhydride and succinic acid esters, which are further used in the production of paints, dyes, adhesives, drugs and so on. In the field of medicine, succinic acid has antispasmodic, expectorant and diuretic effects. In addition, succinic acid is used as a food additive, e.g. as a flavouring agent for foodstuffs, and is also used as a surfactant, detergent additive and foaming agent in the food industry.
Uses of Amber Acid.
Basic organic chemical material. Mainly used in paints, dyes, adhesives and pharmaceuticals. Alkyd resins produced from succinic acid have good flexibility, elasticity and water resistance. Diphenyl ester of butanedioic acid is the intermediate of dyes, and the reaction with amino anthraquinone generates anthraquinone dyes.
In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used to produce sulfa drugs, vitamin A, vitamin B and haemostatic drugs. In addition, butanedioic acid in the paper manufacturing, textile industry also has a wide range of uses, can also be used as a lubricant, photographic chemicals and surfactants raw materials. Succinic acid can also be used as food acidifier for wine, feed, candy and other flavouring.
Pharmacological action of Amber Acid.
Product Method of Bulk Amber Acid Powder.
Butanedioic acid exists in amber, but also widely in a variety of plants and animal tissues. There are many industrial production methods, mainly the following ones:
1. Oxidation paraffin is oxidised to produce a mixture of various carboxylic acids, which can be separated to obtain butanediol.
2. Hydrogenation of maleic anhydride or transbutyleneglycolic acid under the action of catalyst hydrogenation reaction to produce butanedioic acid, and then separated to get the finished product. The catalyst is nickel or precious metal, and the reaction temperature is about 130-140℃.
3. Acrylic acid carbonyl synthesis method of acrylic acid and carbon monoxide under the action of catalyst to produce succinic acid. Not yet industrialised
4. Electrolysis oxidation phthalic anhydride and sulfuric acid and water in the ratio of 1:0.5:4, electrolysis in a ceramic electrolytic cell, can be obtained succinic acid.
5. acetylene method acetylene and carbon monoxide and water in the presence of [CO (CO) 4] catalyst. Reaction temperature 80-250 ℃, pressure 2.94-49.03MPa, in the acidic medium reaction can be obtained succinic acid.
