    Product Overview:

Quercetin is a widely distributed in the plant world, with a variety of biological activities of flavonol compounds. It is found in a wide range of vegetables and fruits, such as acai, broccoli and apples, as well as in foodstuffs such as tea, red wine, olive oil and propolis, among which it is found in higher concentrations in acacia, the stalks and leaves of buckwheat, sea-buckthorn, hawthorn and onion. Quercetin is mainly from pin cherry, tea, red onion, raspberry, lingonberry and other plants.

    Quercetin Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Quercetin is a commonly used expectorant in Chinese medicine clinics in China, this product has a good expectorant, cough effect, but also has a certain effect of asthma, and has the pharmacological functions of lowering blood pressure, improving capillary resistance, reducing capillary fragility, lowering blood lipids, dilating coronary arteries, increasing coronary blood flow.

Clinical quercetin is mainly used for bronchitis and phlegm inflammation. It also has an adjunctive therapeutic effect on patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension.

With this product can have dry mouth, dizziness and burning sensation in the stomach area, which can disappear after stopping the drug. Quercetin is widely found in angiosperms, such as red pipe medicine, cat's-eye grass, iron bun gold, red, small-leaved loquat, purple azalea, Zhaoshan white, dwarf tea, rooibos contain, this is a kind of glycoside, this kind of glycoside is often combined with the sugar in the form of glycosides, such as quercetin, rutin, chrysanthemum glycoside and so on.

    Quercetin Powder

    Uses and functions of Quercetin.

Quercetin, as the most common flavonoid, has a wide range of biological activities that are antioxidant and play an important role in the clinical treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases .

Antioxidant function Quercetin is not only involved in antioxidant in vitro, able to inhibit oxidative DNA damage, but also in vivo by reducing the concentration of peroxides in tissues, protecting them from oxidative damage.

Anti-cancer effects On the one hand, quercetin can effectively inhibit free radical production.

It has quercetin and other flavonoid components can significantly reduce the incidence of gastric cancer, directly inhibit the growth of cancer cells or may act on the cell transduction pathway of cancer cell proliferation.

On the other hand, it can enhance the action of anticancer drugs and significantly increase their effectiveness. Cardiovascular protectionThe third major effect of quercetin is cardiovascular protection.

    It is mainly reflected in five aspects: dilating blood vessels, lowering blood pressure;

Prevention and treatment of coronary heart k disease: through animal experiments, also found to reduce the incidence of myocardial infarction and mortality, hypoglycaemic function; reduce myocardial hypertrophy; inhibit vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and hypertrophy; anti-thrombosis. In addition, quercetin has neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects.

Anti-inflammatory effects: In the body's immune system against bacterial invasion, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can cause the body's immune response and inflammatory response. Some studies have shown that quercetin has an inhibitory effect on LPS-induced inflammatory responses.

Antibacterial effect: Quercetin is also a broad-spectrum antimicrobial substance, which can be used to prevent and control various bacterial infectious diseases.

Antiviral effects: Quercetin can fight a variety of viruses, such as HIV virus, anti-sarcoma virus, human herpes simplex virus, parainfluenza virus type 3 (Pf-3), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

    Pharmacological Effects of  Quercetin.

Quercetin significantly inhibited the action of pro-cancer agents, inhibited the growth of isolated malignant cells, and inhibited DNA, RNA and protein synthesis in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells. Quercetin has the effect of inhibiting platelet aggregation and the release of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), and it has significant inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation induced by ADP, thrombin and platelet-activating factor (PAF), of which the inhibitory effect on PAF is the strongest, and it can also significantly inhibit thrombin-induced release of 3H-5-HT from rabbit platelets. (1)Quercetin 10ml/kg at 0.5mmol/L concentration can significantly shorten the duration of arrhythmia, reduce the incidence of ventricular fibrillation, reduce the content of MDA and xanthine oxidase activity in the ischemia-perfusion zone of the myocardium, while it has a significant protective effect on SOD, which may be related to the inhibition of the formation of oxygen radicals in the myocardium and the protection of SOD in the myocardial tissue or the direct removal of oxygen radicals.

    (2) Quercetin and rutin in vitro test, can make the platelet thrombus adhering to the endothelium of the rabbit aorta dispersed, and its EC50 were 80 and 500nmol/L respectively.

Quercetin 50-500 μmol/L in vitro test increased human platelet cAMP levels, and quercetin 2-50 μmol/L had a concentration-dependent potentiation of PGI2 to increase human platelet Chemicalbook platelet cAMP levels and inhibit ADP-induced human platelet aggregation.

Quercetin at a concentration of 300 μmol/L in the test tube inhibited platelet activating factor (PAF)-induced platelet aggregation in rats, almost completely, and also inhibited thrombin- and ADP-induced platelet aggregation, and inhibited thrombin-induced release of 3H-5HT from rabbit platelets; a concentration of 30 μmol/L markedly reduced rat platelet membranoplasmic fluidity.

(3)Quercetin at concentrations of 4×10-5~1×10-1g/ml had an inhibitory effect on the release of histamine and SRS-A from the lungs of guinea pigs sensitised by ovalbumin; 1×10-5g/ml also had an inhibitory effect on SRS-A-induced contraction of guinea pig ileum.

Quercetin at concentrations of 5-50 μmol/L had a concentration-dependent inhibitory effect on histamine release from human basophilic leukocytes induced by ragweed antigen. Quercetin showed concentration-dependent inhibition of ileal contractions in guinea pigs sensitised to ovalbumin with an IC50 of 10 μmol/L. 5×10-6 to 5×10-5 mol/L inhibited the proliferation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) in mice, and also inhibited ConA-induced DNA synthesis.

Production method of Quercetin Raw Powder.

The bark of the oak (Quercus) plant of the beech family is ground to a powder, washed with hot saline, extracted with dilute ammonia and then neutralised with dilute sulphuric acid. It is obtained by boiling the filtrate and precipitating crystals. It can be extracted from lily plant onion (Alliumcepa) etc. with 95% ethanol; it can also be obtained from rutin (rutin) extract and quercetin, isoquercetin, anisatin, chrysin, quercetin xanthin, rhamnoside etc. by hydrolysis with rutinolytic enzyme or acidic aqueous solution.
