Clinical trials have also shown efficacy in certain types of epilepsy. There is a folk recipe for epilepsy "white pepper and radish", and artificially synthesised a structurally simplified piperine analogue 3-(3,4-dimethyl-dioxyphenyl)acryloylpiperidine (trade name anti-epileptic spirit). The toxicity of piperine to flies is higher than that of pyrethrum.
Uses and functions of Piperine.
Used for content determination/identification/pharmacological experiments.
