Bulk Colchicine Raw Powder
Product Overview:
The effect of colchicine on mitosis was first discovered in 1889 by the Italian scholar Pernice, who described how the mid-division of cells in the lining of the dog's stomach and intestines was blocked by colchicine, with the destruction of the spindle, paralysis of chromosome action, and a large number of abnormally dividing mitotic cells remaining in mid-division. This abnormal division caused by colchicine is called colchicine mitosis (abbreviated C mitosis). In karyotyping and mutagenesis of polyploids, colchicine is one of the most widely used chemicals. The concentration of its aqueous solution is positively correlated with its potency of action; the higher the concentration, the stronger the effect. Various plants and tissues respond differently to colchicine.

Bulk Colchicine Raw Powder Details
Colchicine Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Colchicine, also known as colchicine, is an alkaloid extracted from the bulbs and seeds of the plant Colchicine, family Liliaceae, naturally occurring in the lily plant Garland and the Lijiang Mountain Cichlid Mushroom, with a content of 0.11% and 0.1%, respectively. Pale yellow needle-like crystals. Slightly smelly, bitter taste. Melting point 157℃, easily soluble in cold water, alcohol, chloroform and formaldehyde, poor solubility in hot water, not easily soluble in benzene and ether, almost insoluble in petroleum ether, 0.5% solution pH 5.9, hydrolysed by ammonia can make the toxicity reduced. Colchicine has inhibition of cell mitosis, anti-tumour effects.
Uses and functions of Colchicine.
Colchicine is effective in acute gout, can rapidly relieve pain and can prevent arthritic attacks, its mechanism of action is related to the inhibition of leukocyte proliferation and activity, affecting the release of lysosomes.
The pharmacological effect of colchicine is to reduce the activity and phagocytosis of leukocytes in inflammatory tissues, to reduce the inflammation caused by uric acid crystals, so as to play the role of anti-inflammatory, oedema and analgesic effect, so it has a selective anti-inflammatory effect on acute gouty arthritis. In addition, it is also a mitotic toxin, with strong inhibition of cell division, so that the cell stops in the division phase, resulting in the death of tumour cells, so it can be used in cancer treatment.
It is clinically used in the treatment of acute attacks of gouty arthritis, prevention of acute attacks of recurrent gouty arthritis, familial Mediterranean fever, leukaemia, skin cancer, Hodgkin's disease, aplastic anaemia and so on. It is also used for cycle-specific treatment of breast cancer, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, Hodgkin's disease, chronic granulocytic leukaemia, skin cancer and other malignant diseases in M stage.
Pharmacological Effect of Daidzein.
By reducing the activity and phagocytosis of leukocytes in inflammatory tissues, it reduces the inflammation caused by uric acid crystals, thus exerting anti-inflammatory, oedema and analgesic effects, so it has selective anti-inflammatory effects on acute gouty arthritis. In addition, it is also a mitotic toxin, with strong inhibition of cell division, so that the cell stops in the division phase, resulting in the death of tumour cells, so it can be used in cancer treatment.
Product Method of Bulk Colchicine Powder.
This product is an alkaloid extracted from the bulb of Lilium shanzhi mushroom, family Liliaceae. The powder of the shan ci mushrooms was extracted with 85% ethanol by heating and refluxing for 4h, and the ethanol solution obtained was concentrated under reduced pressure to semi-colloid, diluted with distilled water, and the filtrate acidified with 10% sulphuric acid was extracted with chloroform, and then the crude product of colchicine obtained from the chloroform extract was concentrated and crystallised, and then recrystallised, and then the finished product was obtained. The total yield of 0.15% for the raw medicine Shan Ci mushrooms powder count. Most of the foreign countries are extracted from the bulbs of the plant colchicine of the genus Colchicine in the family of Liliaceae
