Veterinary Medicine Albendazole Powder CAS 54965-21-8 Raw Materials
Product Overview:
Veterinary Medicine Albendazole is a highly effective broad-spectrum anthelmintic. Albendazole Powder can block the absorption of a variety of nutrients and glucose in the parasite body, resulting in the depletion of glycogen in the parasite body, and the parasite cannot survive and reproduce. It is used to treat single or mixed sensations caused by Ascaris lumbricoides, pinworm, whipworm, hookworm, etc. Albendazole Raw Materials also had a strong effect on bovine cysticercus, and after treatment the cysticercus decreased and the foci disappeared. In addition, Albendazole Powder can also be used to prevent parasite infection, so it can be used to promote sheep growth and increase wool production.

Albendazole Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Uses and functions of Albendazole Powder.
- 1. Albendazole is a highly effective and broad-spectrum anthelmintic. It can block the absorption of a variety of nutrients and glucose by the parasite, leading to glycogen depletion in the parasite, which makes the parasite unable to survive and reproduce.
- It is used to treat single or mixed sensations caused by Ascaris lumbricoides, pinworm, whipworm, hookworm, etc.
- 2 bind tubulin and inhibit the polymerization of microtubules.
- 3. This product is a highly effective and broad-spectrum deworming new drug. It has significant effect on Fasciola hepaticus, tapeworm, lung and gastrointestinal nematodes. As one of the most potent benzimidazoles, it is the first choice for the prevention and treatment of parasitic diseases in livestock and poultry.
This product is effective against the adult and larvae of Fasciola liver and large flukes in cattle and sheep, and the reduction rate can reach 90-100%.
In recent years, it has been found that the product also has a strong effect on bovine cysticercus. After treatment, the cysticercus decreased and the lesion disappeared.
In addition, the product can also be used to prevent parasite infection, so for promoting the growth of sheep to increase wool production, can receive good results.
4. Used to control downy mildew of cabbage, blast of rice, powderworm of tobacco, anthracnose, etc.
Pharmacological Effects of Albendazole Powder.
Albendazole is a broad-spectrum thiabendazole anthelmintic for both human and veterinary use, which can inhibit the growth and reproduction of the worms, by inhibiting the proteins in the intestinal tract or absorbing cells of the worms, which leads to the inability of the worms to ingest the sugars on which they depend for survival, and depletes the endogenous glycogen of the worms, as well as inhibiting the enzyme system of fenvalerate reductase and preventing the production of adenosine triphosphate, which results in the inability of worms to survive and reproduce, and the worms will die gradually due to the depletion of energy sources. Eventually, the worms died gradually due to energy depletion.
Albendazole has the effect of completely killing the eggs of hookworms and whipworms and partially killing the eggs of roundworms, and can also kill and expel all kinds of nematodes parasitized in the body of animals, and also has obvious killing and expelling effect on tapeworms and cysticerci.
It can be used for the treatment of worm (encapsulosis) and the nervous system infection caused by strips in pork (cysticercosis), and also used for the treatment of hookworms, roundworms, pinworms, trichuris trichiura, tapeworms, whipworms, and fecal roundworms.
Production method of Albendazole Powder.
- (1) Using 2-acetamido-4-chloronitrobenzene as raw material. 2-Acetamido-4-chloronitrobenzene was reacted with propanethiol to form 2-amino-4-propylthioaniline, and then 2-amino-4-propylthioaniline was obtained by hydrogen reduction catalyzed by palladium-carbon.
- Finally, it was cyclized with methyl cyanoformate to obtain propylthiobenzimidazole.
- (2) Using o-nitroaniline as raw material. O-nitroaniline first with sodium thiocyanate in the chlorination reaction to generate 2-nitro-4-thiocyanatobenzenamine, and then with the reaction of bromopropane to generate 2-nitro-4-propylthioaniline, sodium sulfide reduction into 2-amino-4-propylthioaniline, and finally with methyl cyanoformate cyclization to 2-amino-4-propylthioaniline.
Finally, albendazole was synthesized by cyclization with methyl cyanoformate with an overall yield of 60%.
