Pharmaceutical raw materials Amoxicillin Powder
Product Overview:
Amoxicillin, also known as amoxicillin or amoxicillin, is one of the most commonly used penicillin-based broad-spectrum β-lactam antibiotics, a white powder with a half-life of about 61.3 minutes. It is stable under acidic conditions, with a gastrointestinal absorption rate of 90%, with strong bactericidal effect and strong ability to penetrate cell membranes, and is also one of the more widely used semi-synthetic penicillins in clinical application, with preparations such as capsules, granules, tablets, and injections, and is now often combined with clavulanic acid and sulbactam to make injections.

Amoxicillin Usage and Synthesis.
Amoxicillin has a strong antibacterial and bactericidal effect mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, resulting in bacterial cell wall defects, the continuous penetration of water leading to bacterial swelling and death.
Amoxicillin, as a penicillin antibacterial drug, its antibacterial mechanism is to interfere with the synthesis of sensitive bacterial cell wall mucopeptide, inhibit bacterial metabolic enzymes, trigger the bacterial autolytic enzyme activity, so that the bacterial swelling, deformation rupture, and dissolution of death.
Uses and functions of Amoxicillin.
Amoxicillin is one of the more common anti-inflammatory medications and is so effective that it has been one of the must-have medications that many patients keep in their homes.
This product is well absorbed orally. Taking the same amount of drugs, the serum drug concentration of this product is about twice as high as that of ampicillin. It is commonly used for respiratory, urinary tract and biliary tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria, as well as typhoid fever.
Amoxicillin's role is mainly in the anti-infective treatment of various systems, as follows:
1. Upper respiratory tract infections: otitis media, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and so on. Lower respiratory tract infections: acute bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
2. Various skin and soft tissue infections.
3. Genitourinary tract infections: acute bacterial nephritis, acute cystitis, acute urethritis, acute simple gonorrhoea.
4. Amoxicillin can also be used in triple combination with metronidazole and omeprazole to eradicate gastric and duodenal Helicobacter pylori and reduce the recurrence rate of peptic ulcer.
Drug interactions of Amoxicillin.
1. Probenecid competitively reduces renal tubular secretion of the drug, and concomitant use of both drugs may result in increased amoxicillin blood concentrations and prolonged half-life. 2.
2. The risk of haemorrhage is increased with warfarin.
Production Methods of Bulk Amoxicillin Powder.
It is obtained by condensation of 6-APA with N-(3-ethoxycarbonyl-1-methylethenyl) p-hydroxyphenylglycine sodium salt.6-APA is an important raw material for the production of various semisynthetic penicillins. At present, it is produced industrially by cleavage of natural penicillin (penicillin G or penicillin V) by the enzyme penicillin amidase produced by microorganisms.
