Hydroxychloroquine sulfate is a slow acting antirheumatic drug of 4-helium-quinolines. It has been used for the prevention and treatment of malaria, but now it is generally used for the treatment of discoid and systemic lupus erythematosus. Renal Impairment: reduce dose by 50% if CrCl <30mL/min
Hepatic Impairment: monitor closely
Pediatrics: 5 mg/kg (400 mg max)
