Sulfadoxine Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Veterinary Drug Sulfadoxine alias Weekly Sulfanilamide, Sulfadoxine, Sulfadoxine o-dimethoxypyrimidine.

Sulfadoxine Raw Materials is a white or off-white crystalline powder. 

It is mainly used for bronchitis, pneumonia, bacillary dysentery, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and the prevention of rheumatic fever, etc. 

Sulfadoxine Powder is generally used for the treatment of inflammation, such as upper respiratory infections tonsillitis, bacillary dysentery enteritis, skin infections, etc., and can also be used in conjunction with other drugs for the treatment of tuberculosis, lymphoma.

Uses and functions of Sulfadoxine Powder.

• 1. It is used to prevent and treat epidemic meningitis caused by sensitive meningococcal bacteria.
• 2. For the treatment of acute bronchitis, mild pneumonia, otitis media and skin and soft tissue infection caused by sensitive
• bacteria.
• 3. For the treatment of star nocardiosis.
• 4. Can be used as a secondary drug for the treatment of cervicitis and urethritis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.
• 5. Can be used as an adjunct to the treatment of chloroquine-resistant falciparum malaria.
• 6. Combined with pyrimethamine for the treatment of toxoplasmosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii.

Sulfadoxine(Sulphadoxine) is a long acting sulfonamide that is used, usually in combination with other drugs, for respiratory, urinary tract and malarial infections.

Target: AntiparasiticSulfadoxine(Sulphadoxine) is an ultra-long-lasting sulfonamide. Sulfadoxine is often used in combination with pyrimethamine to treat or prevent malaria. 

Both drugs are antifolates; they inhibit the production of enzymes involved in the synthesis of folic acid within the parasites. 

Either drug by itself is only moderately effective in treating malaria, because the parasite Plasmodium falciparum may be able to use exogenous folic acid, i.e. folic acid which is present in the parasite's environment, while in combination, the two substances have a synergistic effect which outbalances that ability.

Sulfadoxine Powder are generally used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases, such as upper respiratory tract infections, tonsillitis, dysentery, enteritis, skin infections, etc. Sulfadoxine Powder can also be used in conjunction with other drugs for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis and lymphatic tuberculosis.

Ultra-long-acting sulfonamides are used in the treatment of meningitis and urinary tract infections.
