As a food additive, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate is used in imitation dairy creamers, dry powdered beverages, mineral supplements and fermentation agents. It is used in non-dairy creamers to prevent coagulation.
Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate is also used to prepare buffer solutions for the production of agar plates for bacterial culture, soy trypticase agar.

Used for boiler water treatment. Used as phosphorus and potassium regulator and bacterial culture medium in the pharmaceutical and fermentation industries. It is the raw material for making potassium pyrophosphate. It can be used as liquid fertilizer and corrosion inhibitor for ethylene glycol antifreeze. Feed grade is used as feed nutritional supplement.
In the food industry, it is used as the raw material for preparing alkaline water for pasta products, fermentation agent, flavoring agent, leavening agent, mild alkaline agent for dairy products, yeast food. It is used as a buffer and chelating agent.

Product Method of Bulk Dipotassium Phosphate Powder.
Under constant stirring, potassium carbonate solution is added to 30% phosphoric acid solution for reaction, and the neutralization end point is pH 8.5-9.0 (phenolphthalein indicator just turns red). After the neutralized solution is concentrated to 120-124°C, it is filtered to remove insoluble matter, then cooled to below 20°C for crystallization, centrifugal separation, and drying to obtain the product, and the mother liquor is sent to the neutralization process for reuse.
