Product Overview:
Prosulfanilamide is a chemically synthesized sulfonamide anti-gout drug, also known as oxybenzosulfonamide, which has the dual effect of promoting uric acid excretion and inhibiting penicillin excretion. It is clinically used for chronic gout and inhibiting the excretion of penicillins to increase its plasma concentration as an adjunct to penicillin treatment. The mechanism of action is to inhibit the reabsorption of uric acid by renal tubules, increase the excretion of uric acid, and thus reduce the concentration of uric acid in plasma, so as to reduce the deposition of urate in tissues and prevent the formation of urate crystals. This product can also promote the dissolution of formed urates, thereby reducing joint damage.

Probenecid Powder Usage and Synthesis.
(1) Hyperuricemia with chronic gouty arthritis and gouty calculus, adults, 25 mg twice a day, can be increased to 500 mg twice a day after 1 week. Take about 2500mL of water a day to prevent the formation of kidney stones, and take alkalizing urine drugs when necessary. Uses of Probenecid.
Antigout drugs. The product is an organic acid, fat soluble, excreted from the renal tubules, and easy to be absorbed back. Therefore, in the presence of propyl sulfonate, the operation of some organic acids in the renal tubules in the body will be inhibited, reducing the excretion of other organic acids. Therefore, it is safe and effective for the treatment of chronic gout. It has no effect on the pain and inflammation of acute gout and is not suitable for acute gout.
