Product Overview:
Cephalexin is the first generation of cephalosporin, also known as "pioneer 4", which belongs to the β-lactam class. It inhibits the synthesis of cell walls, causing cell contents to swell until they rupture and dissolve, killing bacteria. Effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (such as Staphylococcus, Pasteurella, and E. coli). Pseudomonas and Proteobacteria are usually drug resistant. Maintaining a higher blood concentration than MIC is essential for drug action, and prolonged dosing intervals or missed dosing can reduce therapeutic efficacy. The dose and interval of administration are determined according to the site of infection, severity and pathogen. In severe or acute infections, the dose may be doubled or the frequency of administration increased. This product is toxic to rabbits and should only be used for specific indications.

Cephalexin Usage and Synthesis.
Cephalexin is a broad spectrum antibiotic. The mechanism of action in human body is to inhibit the synthesis of cell wall, so that the substances in the cell expand and finally break and dissolve, so as to achieve bactericidal effect. Human cells have no cell wall and are therefore harmless to humans. It is mainly used for gram-positive bacteria and negative bacteria infection, and also has a good bactericidal effect on penicillin-resistant bacteria.
