PVP Iodine Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Povidone iodine is an unstable complex made of surfactant complexed with iodine, belonging to iodophor type of topical disinfectant, yellowish brown to reddish brown amorphous powder at room temperature, easily soluble in water or ethanol, insoluble in ether or chloroform.
