Chlorpheniramine is a low-toxicity and high-efficiency anticoccidial drug, which can be used in chicken feed, with a dosage of micro 30-36g/t, prohibited during egg-laying period, with a withdrawal period of 7 days; it can also be used in rabbit feed, with a dosage of 50-66g/t, prohibited during pregnancy, with a withdrawal period of 7 days.
White or slightly yellow crystalline powder, odourless, slightly bitter taste. Melting point 176℃. Slightly soluble in ether and water, easily soluble in dilute acid or dilute alkali solution, the colour gradually becomes darker when exposed to light.
Chlorpheniramine hydrochloride has a good effect on most of the free Eimerococcus (e.g. medium-sized Eimerococcus, non-residual Eimerococcus, etc.), except that it has a slightly poorer effect on Eimerococcus intestinalis in rabbits.

Chlorpheniramine Hydrochloride is a highly effective anticoccidial drug with preventive and therapeutic effects on zoonotic toxoplasmosis. It has good palatability and good effect on acute or chronic coccidiosis of chickens and rabbits.

Pharmacological Effect of Robenidine Hcl.
Chlorphenylguanidine hydrochloride is a guanidine derivative. The anti-coccidial mechanism is to affect the adenosine triphosphate, interfering with the protein metabolism of coccidia, and has been widely used in the prevention and treatment of avian and rabbit coccidiosis.
The peak action of chlorproguanidine hydrochloride on coccidia is mainly in the 1st generation of schizonts (i.e., day 2 of the life cycle of coccidia). It prevents the formation of schizonts from schizonts.
It has also been shown to inhibit the 2nd generation of schizonts and even the development of oocysts.
The main mechanism of action is to inhibit oxidative phosphorylation in the worm, which depletes the energy supply of the worm and inhibits the growth and reproduction of schizonts. Coccidia are slow to develop resistance to chlorproguanil, and remain effective against strains resistant to other anticoccidials.

Aminothiourea is produced by the addition and rearrangement of sodium thiocyanate with water and hydrazine. It is then methylated with dimethyl sulphate and hydrazinolised to N.N'-diaminoguanidine sulphate. N.N'-diaminoguanidine hydrochloride is then substituted with calcium chloride. Finally condensed with p-chlorobenzaldehyde in ethanol to produce chlorphenylguanidine hydrochloride in 94% yield.
